NEWS: The STARS Science School 2007 is now over. We had an absolute blast - and I'm sure the students did too!
Some words from students about their experiences are found here
Very soon we'll have up some media coverage etc... but for now check out some of the photos like this one:
STARS stands for "Students & Teachers Accessing Research Scientists" and is a new initiative by the Melbourne Uni Physics Promotion, Education & Teaching Services (or MUPPETS). As a science teacher, registering for the STARS program will gain you access to appropriate safety training and access to our equipment library, invitations to special networking functions and continued support of nominated students, all for free!
Teachers, please Register for
the STARS program! This program will not only allow you to nominate
students for the STARS Science School, but will also allow you to
access resources at the University.
